Just realized it’s been 1 year since I built my Ultimaker Original + Kit. So he/she got a maintenance and a badge for outstanding performance.

Came out pretty nice right away… 1 minor layer failure on the top part.

On the last inspection on the Ultimaker I noticed the z – stepper motor holding screws dug a little into the wood frame.
So I designed a counter plate for the Z-stepper and did the x and y ones too while on it. Convenient side effect of these: you can see easily whether the screws are aligned…
Z-plate mounting is pretty simple. Just put something under the stepper motor so it sits on it and can’t move, then remove srews, install plate, put screws back in.Voila…
Printed without brim. Had to drill the holes a little bigger but so far working perfect…
